Kent Community Foundation Announces Winners of

2nd Annual Kent Has Talent


KENT, Wash., October 11, 2017 – This weekend Kent Community Foundation hosted the second annual Kent Has Talent all-ages talent competition at the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center. Presented by Denali Federal Credit Union, Kent Has Talent featured performers in three different age divisions wowed the audience with singing, dancing, music and poetry.  This year’s winners are:

Adult: Katie Jones

Teen: Dalamari Holman (also a 2016 winner)

Youth: Dre’moni Watts

Audience Choice: Sanaina Kaur Dhaliwal and Jasmin Kaur Bains 

The division and grand prize winners were selected by local celebrity judges – Suzette Cooke (Kent Mayor), Maya Vengadasalam (Kent School Board) and Su Ring (KING5 and New Day Northwest). The audience voted for their favorite performers for the audience choice award with $5 tickets. Half the proceeds of those ticket sales went to the Kent Community Foundation and the other half to the winner. The event was emceed by KISS FM’s Bender, and talent was coordinated by Tony Goodwille of Allegro Performing Arts Academy.

Due to the generosity of community sponsors, net proceeds for the event will benefit the Kent Community Foundation in its work to strengthen and support the community through partnerships and philanthropy. Sponsors include:
